Early in my experiences of learning and understanding the land I was told that the more we give to the land, the more it will give back in return showing appreciation for all of our hard work, well today was one of those days. As I worked on a project, I noticed a bird suddenly appear to inspect our tools and watch from a distance slowly working its way closer and closer to me. I felt so honored by its presence and that it was willing to just hang out and no matter where I moved, my friend was following right behind me watching my every move.

In that moment I felt as though I was being watched over by an ancestor making their presence known that they are still watching and keeping me protected, so I took a moment to honor and thank them for their protection. Spiritual connections are everywhere but often go overlooked because of lack of understanding. It could be a joyous feeling coming over you randomly or you could be thinking of someone who has passed on and a gust of wind blows around you. On a cloudy day the sun will suddenly peak through and send rays of warm sunshine all over you, that is spirit speaking to you from the other side so give thanks and honor them for their presence.
