Queen’s Garden Virtual Tour

“My blackness does not inhibit me from being beautiful and intelligent. In fact, it is the reason I am beautiful and intelligent. And you cannot stop me.”

In the image the is a baby bird in a nest from a view that looks down on it. The bird is mostly dark brown in color.

Green spaces in our black and brown communities are vital to us rebuilding our wealth and taking back control of the narrative that has been placed on us for decades from our oppressors, who have decided that our communities have no value unless they bring it with gentrification when the reality is, we are worth more than they could ever afford. Here is a brief tour of the Queen’s Garden led by our communities own Nefertari Muhammad who has been maintaining this space for over 8 years and in 2021 it was given a few upgrades to maximize the space and make it more accessible to the community. For information on how you can visit, or support please contact Nefertari Muhammad compost4health@gmail.com
