Hello Family,
I wanted to let everyone know about our Annual Harvest Festival that will be held on Thursday October 31st at our Pearl Street Community Garden located at 323 Conestoga Way, Phila., PA 19131. This is a free event that will be from 4:00pm-7:00pm where there will be; free food and refreshments, games for all ages, face painting, pumpkin carving, music played by the renowned DJ Osage (djosagie@gmail.com, https://soundcloud.com/osagiebeats), and much more to be announced.
Not only will this be an event to celebrate our community, but it also a way to help our people understand how important it is that we learn how to live sustainably by growing from the land. We want to inspire change for our future and how we treat the earth so that we all can see how valuable the very streets we walk on are to the health of this planet.
If anyone would like to support our event, we are generously asking community members to make a dish if anyone is interested and we will provide any ingredients necessary. For those who are unable to cook you are more than welcome to make a donation to our organization which is a non-profit serving the Haddington section of West Philadelphia. Any donations can be submitted to the links provided below and thank you for your support.
